PowerFest 2005 was attended by 39 PPC pilots. Flying was
spectacular this year with low early morning and evening winds every
day. The cross-country on Saturday morning took us to Elk County
Airport at Moline, Kansas. Friday night's "chili dump"
and brats and beer was a success -- we had WAY TOO MANY desserts, but
that's a nice problem to have. Full Kansas-style breakfasts each
morning, $100 hamburgers at lunch, a blue-grass band on Saturday night,
and lots of time for stories during the day. What could be better?
PowerFest 2006 will be held on the third weekend in October -- make your
plans to join us.
